Italy was Bellissimo! So much history and culture. And the food?!?! It makes your taste buds Danza! Hard to believe it’s been almost six years since I was there, October 2011. From Pisa to Florence, Rome to Naples, I thoroughly enjoyed it all. Well, except the time they crammed what felt like thousands of people in the Vatican’s rooms. The morning tours were pushed to the afternoon because the Pope was there. And we just so happened to be the lucky ones present that day. It was a logistical and safety nightmare. Nevertheless, I refused to let that little gnat in my cappuccino ruin my whole trip. You gotta keep things in perspective and technically, the Vatican isn’t part of Italy but its own little province. So no hard feelings. I still marveled at the Sistine Chapel…and I still watch some of the midnight mass on Christmas Eve. Grazie! (Pictures were taken on the now ancient relic, the iPhone 3G)
